Include tutte le funzioni che un sistema Linux prevede: FTP, controllo via WEB, software opensource, completa personalizzazione e molto altro. Il sistema che viene installato è basato sul software ENIGMA 2 per cui tutte le funzionalità più avanzate per gestire il ricevitore sono garantite. Il ricevitore nella configurazione attuale viene fornito con 2 tuner, uno satellitare DVB-S2 e uno terrestre DVB-T. Oltre a questi c'è la possibilità di inserirne un terzo a scelta ( opzionale e selezionabile tra DVBT,DVBS2 e DVBC). Questo permette di registrare un canale qualsiasi mentre se ne guarda un altro senza alcuna limitazione ( NB: l'impianto deve essere predisposto ). Il Q-box HD prodotto da Duolabs si basa su processore Sti 7101 (ultima revisione), e usa come sistema operativo Linux con interfaccia Enigma 2. Il decoder supporta l'Alta Definizione HDTV DVB-S2 a varie risoluzioni (1080I, 720P, 480P/576P, 480I/576I) Il Q-box HD E' dotato di un display da 2.2" ad alta definizione con 65.536 colori disponibili, ed è possibile scegliere il colore del display e della mascherina tra svariati colori. Sul pannello frontale ci sono 2 slot CAM e 2 slot card reader; i controlli sul pannello frontale avvengono al tocco (touch control come per l'IPOD). Il Q-box HD usa 3 tuners (2 DVB-S Satellitari e 1 DVB-T terrestre o cavo) con numero di canali memorizzabili illimitato. Supporta lo standard WiFI 802.11n tramite un modulo interno (velocità di trasferimento 300Mb/s), e questa funzione lo rende adatto allo streaming video, e streaming DLNA(Digital Living Network Alliance che molti dispositivi supportano, o supporteranno in futuro). Il lettore multimediale supporta DivX, MP3, FLV(file di Youtube) e JPG, e attraverso la porta USB si potrà collegare un masterizzatore DVD o BlueRay.
